Forth

by Steven H. Rogers last modified 2006-12-16 08:34

Forth is a dynamic language invented by Chuck Moore for programming embedded telescope controllers. It's efficency has led to it's use in very resource constrained systems. It's interactivity and direct access to hardware makes it very productive for those who need to program "close to the metal". It may be the best tool for blending hardware and software into efficient, integrated syststems.
